In French, un conte is a story you tell yourself — the kind that starts with "once upon a time" and that you never quite forget.

It is also our family name.

When we acquired our first apartment on the Promenade des Anglais, the wordplay was obvious: MaisonConte. The house of stories. And since we already knew there would be more than one, we began talking about the Domaine Conte — a small collection of exceptional properties in France and Europe, each chosen the way you choose a page from a favourite book.

DomaineConte is the platform that brings these addresses together. Every property carries its own name, tells its own story — and shares the same standard of excellence.

We are a French family, based in Bordeaux.

Cédric handles strategy. For day-to-day hospitality and management, we carefully select property managers who go above and beyond — professionals hand-picked with the utmost rigour to take care of you and our properties. Above all to take care of you: that is the primary reason we choose them as we do.

On Airbnb, our official profession is "Stay Creator". It is not a title we invented to sound good — it is genuinely what we do. We do not rent an apartment: we craft a stay, night after night, detail after detail, until everything has the texture of a good memory.

We have been certified Airbnb Superhosts, with an overall rating of 4.96 / 5 across 25 verified reviews — in only 10 months of activity.

Our official personal anecdote, always on our profile, sums up our philosophy quite well:

"A 4-star rating is a poor score."

We genuinely mean it. When you welcome someone into your home, the average is not a target — it is a starting point. The most useless talent we are proud of? Spotting, at a glance, the most perfectly aligned towel in the bathroom. Absurd, we know. And also, honestly, exactly what makes the difference.

No fanfare, no grand speeches. Simply this:

MaisonConte in Nice is the first property in the Domaine. Other addresses will follow — patiently, without rushing, at the pace of places we genuinely love, in France and across Europe.

Every future property will share the same signature: an exceptional address. A top floor when possible. Light treated as a main character. A family behind it, not a corporation.

On the horizon: the Côte d'Azur first, then other regions of France, then Europe — following encounters and serendipity. Stories don't plan themselves entirely — otherwise, they wouldn't be stories.

Eight out of ten of our guests come from abroad, primarily from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. We speak English and French fluently — and we understand that a trip to the French Riviera is almost never trivial: it is often a dream carried for years, sometimes a lifetime.
